Farming Fuels the Future Alternative energy is front of mind for many. This display highlights energy alternatives with ethanol fuel cells and a working mini-biodigester that uses gas from cow manure to power an iPod which, in turn, shows a video of a dairy farm using the green technology. A visitor-powered hand crank to illustrate power generation completes the exhibit. |

What's for dinner? What's for dinner is an interactive food selection from a buffet table that enables visitors to choose their own meal. Based on Canada's Food Guide, their choices will be evaluated nutritionally. The display will show the impact of these food choices, where the food may have come from and benefits of supporting local agriculture. |
